Joyce E. Bergman, 86, previously of Panama, N.Y., handed away at 2:20 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020, within the Heritage Park Rehab and Expert Nursing Facility.
A lifelong space resident, she was born March 11, 1934, in Mayville, N.Y., a daughter of the late Michael and Doris Slayton Terry.
She was a graduate of the previous Chautauqua Excessive College and was a former member of the Panama Hearth Division Auxiliary.She additionally loved portray, crafting and watching the hummingbirds round her residence. She shall be remembered as a loving and caring housewife and homemaker who took nice care of her husband, kids and enormous prolonged household.
Surviving are 4 kids: Kathleen (Earl) Foulk, Judy (Jim) Burdic, Karen (Jeff) Lewis, all of Ashville, N.Y., and John (Tina) Bergman of Panama, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; Amy Bergman, Michael Bergman, Rob Brown, Shannon Stevens, Christy Johnson, John Bergman, Amanda Bergman, Jennifer Brief, Dale Tremblay, Sara Shirley, Josh Putnam, Walter Kinne and Andrew Foulk; 17 great-grandchildren; and her particular pal, Joe Dorman.
Moreover her mother and father, she was preceded in dying by her husband, Kenneth E. Bergman, Sr. whom she married Oct. 16, 1952, and who died March 10, 2006; a son, Kenneth E. Bergman, Jr., who died on October 7, 2010; a daughter, Brenda L. Maloy, who died Aug. 3, 2019; three brothers: Paul, Charles and Maurice Terry; and two sisters: Norma Bruto and Marie Seekings-Kelly.
The funeral shall be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept/ 5, 2020, within the Panama Baptist Church. The Rev. Andrew Prepare dinner, pastor will officiate. Burial shall be within the Panama Greenwood Cemetery. Following the service there shall be a luncheon for household and mates on the residence of Kathy and Earl Foulk, 2673 Panama-Stedman Street, Ashville, NY.
