U Kon Echelon Bike Membership hosted the Porter Creek Secondary College Trails Cross-Nation Mountain Bike Race on Oct. 4 in Whitehorse.
A complete of 23 riders competed on the day, with older rivals racing 9 kilometres and youthful racers driving 2.5 km.

Taking second spot within the U9 boys class was Oskar Luxemburger with a time of 10 minutes and 53 seconds, with Sam Boucher ending third in 11 minutes and three seconds.
The quickest woman within the race was Rose Preto who gained the U9 ladies class with a time of 13 minutes and 25 seconds.
Within the U7 boys class, Rowan Evans edged out Callum Fischer for the win. Evans completed in 16 minutes and 47 seconds, whereas Fischer completed in 20 minutes and 43 seconds.
4-year-old Rylan Morris completed first within the U5 ladies class with a time of 16 minutes and 45 seconds.
Rounding out the outcomes, Gabe Coderre completed first within the novice class with a time of 11 minutes and 30 seconds.
Organizers stated the hope is to carry a 3rd cross-country mountain bike race later this month with a Halloween theme.
