TONIGHT. DANA A UNIQUE BIKE SHO IN GREENVILLE, THAT’S BEEN AROUND FOR 10 YEARS, IS MOVING. THE OWNER OF LUCKY BIKE HOPES TO OPEN ITS NEW LOCATION SOMETIME NEXT MONTH. PHOTOJOURNALIST CHIP BAYSDEN HAS THE STORY. >> MY MOTHER TOLD ME THAT SHE FOUND ME IN THE DRIVEWAY AT THREE YEARS OLD WITH AN ADJUSTABLE WRENCH, TAKING THE TRAINING WHEELS OFF MY BIKE. I MET KIP SMITH AND I AM THE OWNER OF LUCKY BIKES. WE DO NOT HAVE EVERYTHING, BUT WE HAVE GOT A LOT. >> HE HAS HELPED A LOT OF PEOPLE. >> STARTED THE SHOP 10 YEARS AGO. I CALL LUCKY BIKE A RECYC — A RECYCLER H — WE DO NOT SELL NEW BIKES. WE CAN WORK ON ANY BIKE NO MATTER THE AGE. ROAD BIKES, KID BIKES, HYBRIDS, FOLDIN BIKES, MOUNTAIN BIKES. OF ALL THE YEARS I HAVE WORKED BICYCLE SHOPS, W HAVE NEVER SUCCESSFULLY SOLD USED BIKES AND NEW BIKES. HE HAS A STUFF I CAN’T FIND ANYWHERE ELSE. WHEN I WAS IN THE BUSINESS PEOPLE WOULD ASK “WILL YOU BY MY BIKE?” WE DIDN’T HAVE THE SPACE. IS ALWAYS WILLING TO GO THE EXTRA MILE. IF SOMEONE WANTS TO RIDE A BIKE, — ANY BIKE SOMEONE WANTS TO RIDE, WE WANT THEM OUT THERE WRITING IT. — OUT THERE RIDING IT. >> SUNSHIN CYCLE SHOP DECIDED TO CLOSE. >> THEY WERE UNABLE TO GET BICYCLES. THEY WOULD BE OUT OF BIKE AND BEEN TORY FOR SIX TO EIGHT MONTHS — INVENTORY FOR SIX TO EIGHT MONTHS. THIS BMX KID THAT USED TO BE IN MY SHOP IN 1981 IS GOING TO TAKE OVER THE BUILDING AND RUN SHOP. >> THIS IS ABOUT RECYCLING, LOCALLY PLACED REAL RECYCLING — LOCALLY BASED REAL RECYCLING. >> I AM AMAZED AT HIS ENTHUSIASM AND HIS DESIRE TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. THIS LOCATION WILL STILL BE AVAILA
